My cat is showing signs of ataxia after receiving a paradyne flea treatment from a local vet. They are saying it’s not their fault and are refusing to help him now. They told me if I didn’t like it to bad because if I tried to take them to court they would lose and my cat would die anyway. Please help me I have no idea what to do.

It is impossible to say for certain what is happening with your cat with this information and it needs a thorough physical and neurological exam by a veterinarian to assess.  However, selemectin is a common ingredient used to treat fleas and your cat having an uncommon adverse reaction to the medication is certainly not the fault of a veterinarian that administered it.  In this instance, I would recommend you have another vet see your cat if your original vet is refusing further care and calling the drug manufacturer and asking them for help.  Oftentimes, reactions to selemectin are temporary and self resolve, but they can be life threatening in extreme cases.
