I recently got a puppy(Bluenose Pitbull) and she tries to bite everything. When we are not home, she bites mattresses, wood, her plastic bowl, and anything else. Why and how can I stop this?

A lot of times when dogs like to bite everything, it can be caused by boredom, rough housing with the dog, or not being trained.  I recommend reading this article on treating boredom:

It is also important to make sure to start training your dog.  There are some basic training tips here:

Chewing is very normal for puppies, but it is important to give them something to chew, encourage it, and then gradually teach them what is not appropriate to chew.

If you continue to have problems, I would recommend looking into puppy training schools to see if you can get some advice more specific to your environment.

It is also important to make sure there are no underlying health issues.  While you mostly mentioned chewing, it may signify that your dog is not getting enough nutrients, so make sure they have a balanced diet and if they haven’t already had their puppy checkup for vaccines, and deworming, that this is addressed as well.   The vet will also be able to see if there are any underlying health issues.
